Curtis Goss

Andrew GossCurtis Goss;  Leanda and Len Goss

I began competitive swimming at age 5 with Southlake Aquatics at the Solana Club because I’d always loved the water, and apparently I didn’t think basketball and baseball enough.

Swimming has taught me more than I ever wanted to know about  work ethic, perseverance, friendship, and time management.

My best swimming memories are throwing water balloons out the hotel window,  dying Jake Tovey’s hair green with Kool-Aid, and chatting up a certain waitress, Audrey, and drinking entirely too many Shirley Temples at Chili’s on the State trips.

I have 2 favorite Coach Murphy stories.  One is the story of when he was chased up a church tower.  The other is the story about the kid named Harvey in his nephew’s class.

I plan on attending college and majoring in either Business or a Biological Science on a pre-Dental track.  I also plan on swimming at a major Division 1 university.
