Daniel Hottois

Daniel Hottois; My parents are Beverly and Robert Hottois.

I originally started swimming because of an injury.  Soon I was addicted to it and took it up as a full time sport.  I first swam for Timarron Tigersharks back in 4th grade, and then for the North Texas Nadadores.

Swimming has taught me that as long as you have the will and the drive to achieve something, anything you want is within your reach.

My favorite swimming memories are definitely the whole travel meet experiences.  IHOP, the horrible practice directly afterwards, the bus ride, and everything that just created the team atmosphere that makes swimming so much fun.

My favorite Coach Murphy story a tie between these two.  “Suck it up, Cupcake,” and when Coach said on the bus on one travel trip, “Guess where we’re stopping for dinner… Golden Corral.”

I don’t know where I’m going to college yet, but I hope to swim, play soccer or water polo.
