Morgan Pettyjohn;  My parents are Gary and Andye Pettyjohn

I started swimming in Austin, Texas on a summer league team when I was 7 years old, because my neighbor friends were on that team and I thought it would be fun to do it too!

Swimming has done so much for me; to say it all would take a novel.  To keep it concise, I’ll say that swimming has helped me to believe in myself, appreciate the successes in life (even the little ones), and enjoy every element of life’s experiences.

My favorite swimming memory was when Coach Murphy did the “Teach Me How to Dougie” dance during the girls team meeting at State in my Junior year!

All of Coach Murphy’s stories are my favorites, but it makes me laugh when he calls me “Prettyjohn”.

As of now, I plan to swim in college, and my top choices are Texas Christian University, Air Force, St Louis University, Alabama, and University of Texas.  I intend to study Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
