It doesn’t take much to be a Dragon. It only takes the determination and the drive needed to succeed, no matter what the venue. Our student athletes know that when they show up for competition they will get their opponents best effort – every time, every day.
There is no day off for a Dragon. Dragons know they are expected to excel. This is a lofty expectation of our athletes, and, if you ask me, an expectation they readily accept.
There is something different about student athletes at CISD. As tough as they are on the field of play, they are equally as tenacious in the classroom. Dragon athletes compete, no matter where, no matter what. We should all be proud to have them as ambassadors for our district and our community.
Carroll also is fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers that make up the Carroll Athletic Boosters. I want to thank each of you for all your hard work and tireless hours in support of Dragon athletics. You truly are a blessing to our student athletes.
I am always impressed with how hard our athletes work to prepare for competition. I am equally impressed with the hard work our boosters accomplish to ensure our student athletes have all the “tools” it takes to be successful.
You don’t need to have a child in Carroll ISD to be a Dragon booster. If you are a fan of any or all Dragon sports, come join us in helping meet the needs of Carroll ISD student athletes and coaches. We meet every Monday at 7:00pm in the Carroll Senior High School Student Activity Center.
